Removal of Direct Black 38 from Water by Nanofibers

摘要
Direct Black 38 is widely used and has been proven toxic to aquatic life. Nanofibers fabricated by electrospinning having large aspect ratio and high specific surface was used to adsorb Direct Black 38. It was found that pH, time and Direct Black 38 concentration obviously affected the adsorption efficiency of Direct Black 38. The results showed that nanofibers can remove 85% Direct Black 38 at pH 3.0 for 1 h. and nanofibers can have good removal efficiency in low concentration of direct black 38.
