摘要:
Bone is a living composite material that can adapt its structure and geometry to its mechanical environment. Bone remodeling is a multicellular phenomenon that permits this adaptation as well as repair of micro-damages. This brief presentation is an attempt to describe how mechanical stresses as well as the presence of damages within the bone matrix may trigger bone remodeling and induce an auto-repair process.
