摘要
We previously showed that certain cytokines impact on the expression of drug transporters and chemokine receptors in peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Known single-nucleotide polymorphism genes in the genes encoding interferon gamma (874A>T, rs62559044) and interleukin 2 (-330T>G, rs2069763) were genotyped in 66 HIV+ patients, and the impact of single-nucleotide polymorphisms on expression of ABCB1, ABCC1, ABCC2, CXCR4, and CCR5 in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from HIV+ patients was assessed. The IFN-gamma 874A>T allele and viral load were independently associated with CCR5 expression in patients. These associations have potential implications for HIV disease progression and treatment response that now warrant further study.
