摘要
In our previous melting experiments on modular co-rotating twin screw extruders (Jung, 2003), we discovered three melting initiation mechanisms: barrel melting initiation, internal melting initiation, and screw melting initiation, and four melting propagation mechanisms: barrel melting propagation, internal melting propagation under different conditions. These have been developed into mathematical models, which have been compared with experiment. This allows us to predict how melting will occur under different prescribed conditions.
