摘要
Objective: To analyze the real financial and actuarial situation of the Social Security Fund (FUN-PREV) of Sao Miguel, considering the perspective of sustainability in the medium and long term. Background: The present study makes a study of the financial sustainability of the Social Welfare Regime of the Municipality of Sao Miguel, Rio Grande do Norte, instituted in 2014, as of the Ordinary Law No. 12 of June 30, 2014, which structure of this social security system. Method: The research was developed in the format of a case study, using bibliographical and documentary research as tools for collecting data, through which it was possible to respond to the research problem. Results: The analysis of the data demonstrated the commitment of the municipal administration, which has been passing on social security contributions on time to date and adopting the supplementary rates approved in the Actuarial Evaluation carried out in 2015. Regarding the policy for allocation of financial resources, the Pension Fund of Sao Miguel opted for a management with a more conservative profile, not exposing itself to high levels of risk, presenting in a few years a profitability lower than the actuarial average established. Contributions: The research pointed to the existence of the financial sustainability of the system, however, the actuarial aspect, the RPPS still presents an imbalance, requiring the implementation of a costing plan suggested in the Actuarial Assessment of 2017 for the equation of the deficit.
