摘要
We use a statically dimerized one-dimensional XY-model to describe a spin-Peierls system. From this model, we determine the Landau free energy functional with the dimerization as order parameter. This enables us to calculate thermodynamic properties, as well as the coupling of the strain to the order parameter. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
