Experimental investigation of pulsatile flow in circular tubes

摘要
The pulsatile Newtonian fluid flow in circular rigid pipes was investigated. The impact of model geometry and flow characteristics on development and origination of Reynolds stress and on the value of energy loss during pulsatile flow was analyzed. Reynolds normal stress and assemble-average velocity profiles were evaluated. Results showed that at a certain measured point there was only one disturbance during a period. It was also noticed that the intensity of turbulent disturbance was growing in the direction of tube wall.
