摘要
This paper reveals the preliminary results of an experiment that studied designer and client communication and interaction during the conceptual stage of design. This study analysed the most fundamental components of the 'common language' in the designer-client relationship, including voice dialogue, visual gestures and other communication cues. The purpose of the experiment was to explore the idea of virtual environments as a viable method of communication, and to quantify the benefits of virtual environments as a design facilitator between designer and client in the conceptual design phase.
