A plastic optical fibre (POF) vibration sensor

摘要：
An optical method for measuring vibration is described. It uses a non contact displacement sensor which has a linear response and a scalable range. Single degree vibrations with peak displacement in the millimeter range can be monitored. The displacement and frequency of vibration of the vibrating surface can be determined.
