摘要
In this investigation, design of an octagonal ring photonic crystal fiber (OPCF) has been studied by introducing elliptical air holes at different rings. This structure provides improved nonlinearity and flattened dispersion of maximum +/- 12 ps/(nm. km). Using Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis has been employed to obtain each optical characteristics. By simulation the corresponding supercontinuum generation on each design is compared and also investigates the impact of pump pulse width on soliton order.
