Compact formulas for guiding-center orbits in axisymmetric tokamak geometry

摘要
Compact formulas for trapped-particle and passing-particle guiding-center orbits in axisymmetric tokamak geometry are given in terms of the Jacobi elliptic functions and complete elliptic integrals. These formulas can find applications in bounce-center kinetic theory as well as guiding-center Fokker-Planck kinetic theory. (C) 2011 American Institute of Physics. [doi:10.1063/1.3554696]
