摘要
Itinerant 5f-electron antiferromagnet UNiAI(T(N) = 19.3 K) undergoes a metamagnetic transition in fields (B(c) approximate to 11 T) applied along the c-axis of the hexagonal ZrNiAl-type structure. The same structure is preserved in the UN(1-x)Pd(x)Al solid solutions x less than or equal to 0.4 characterized by isotropic lattice expansion with increasing x. The gradual increase of B(c) and T(N) due to the Pd doping can be tentatively attributed to enhancement of antiferromagnetic exchange interactions. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
