RFID-based optimisation of Kanban processes

When utilising the Kanban method particularly small and medium sized enterprises (SME) face problems with the correct reproduction of the Kanban quantities and times, which are associated with the automatic control loops in the enterprise applications. This gives rise to a lack of information which complicates the production planning and control enormously and thus leads to unnecessarily high stocks and inefficiencies. Manual data acquisition would be possible but is often connected with a change Of Work contents and, therefore, mostly not well accepted by the employees. An adequate solution for this problem is the support of the Kanban process by the use of the RFID-technology.
