摘要：

Because of some traditional modes of teaching, our understanding for Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) in probability and statistics appears narrow, making application of CAI in probability and statistics superficial. Four aspects of CAI in probability and statistics are researched mainly to reform traditional teaching and enhance teaching quality and effect of probability and statistics. Firstly, the paper defines traditional teaching of probability and statistics. Secondly, the paper addresses some skills of doing multimedia courseware of probability and statistics. Thirdly the paper considers application and development of statistical software of CAI in probability and statistics. At last, the paper stresses the leading role of teacher in CAI.
