摘要:
We developed a method of (n,alpha) cross section measurement using a gaseous sample in a gridded ionization chamber. This method enables to measure the cross section with large solid angle without the distortion by the energy loss in the sample. We developed a method to determine the detection efficiency which has been difficult to estimate for gaseous samples by using GIC signals and tight neutron collimation. The method is applied to the O-16(n,alpha) cross section measurement around 14 MeV.
