Dyeing process modeling for polyester micro fibers

This paper deals with the mathematical modeling of the diffusion during a dyeing process of the polyester micro fibers and super micro fibers. This model applies to the dyeing of different polyester fibers with disperse dyes. The influence of temperature variations, the initial dye concentration and the fiber count on the diffusion coefficient is the main subject of this study. Simulations of dyeing process are carried out using the diffusion coefficient model in order to compute the concentration of dyes into the micro fibers in function of the time and other dyeing parameters.
