摘要
In the present study, pods of Acacia nilotica mediated copper oxide nanoparticles (CuONPs) were synthesized and confirmed by spectroscopic, microscopic, and energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis. EDX analysis confirmed the presence of elements in the synthesized nanoparticles. FTIR analysis of synthesized nanoparticles revealed the presence of -C = C- the stretch of alkenes, primary and secondary alcohols (C-O stretch), and surface capping of phenolic groups. Results showed that biosynthesized nanoparticles exhibit significant antioxidant activity using DPPH assay and phosphomolybdate assay. Biofunctionalized nanoparticles possess a significant anticancer effect on HepG2 cancer cell line in a dose-dependent manner. CuONPs also showed thrombolytic activity, as they can dissolve the clot formed from the fresh blood. To the best of our knowledge, we report for the first time that Acacia nilotica pods mediated copper oxide nanoparticles exhibited various in vitro biological applications. (c) 2020 Elsevier Ltd.
