摘要
Bridging chemistry and physics: Linear alkane CnH2n+2 critical constants, fusion temperature and fusion enthalpy data (see picture) for an extended range of n values are discussed. Similarities are noted with the heavy fluid metals Rb and Cs as their critical points are approached. A low coordination number at the critical point of these two fluid heavy alkali metals is established. (Graph Presented). © 2005 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
