Literary criticism and literature produced by women in Brazil from the late 19th Century to mid 20th Century

This article discusses the relation between the literary production and the literary criticism produced by women in Brazil from the late 19th century to mid 20th century. Initially, the question of the canon and its relationship with the literary production will be analyzed, exploring the mechanisms regulating the publication of literary texts. Subsequently, the criteria adopted by the critics in the evaluation of literary works written by women will be identified.
