摘要
The translation of multi-word terms (MWTs) poses several challenges for translators, namely due to their frequent lack of transparency, semantic ambiguity and overall cognitive complexity. MWTs have long been a question of interest in Natural Language Processing and Terminology. However, few researchers have explored this phenomenon in the translation classroom. This paper aims to narrow this gap by analyzing the translation of MWTs through the lens of translation students at the University of Granada. More specifically, we (1) explore the perceptions of translation students regarding MWTs, and (2) perform a contrastive analysis of the performance of undergraduate and postgraduate students of translation when faced with MWTs.
