摘要
The new neutron-deficient isotope Th-208 was produced in the complete-fusion reaction Ni-64 + Sm-147 -> Th-208 + 3n. Evaporation residues were separated in-flight by the velocity filter SHIP and subsequently identified on the basis of energy-, position- and time-correlated alpha-decay chains. The measured alpha-decay energy and half-life value of Th-208 are 8044(30) keV and 1.7(-0.6)(+1.7) , respectively. Improved data on the alpha-decay of Th-209, Th-210, Th-212 and Ra-208 were obtained using complete-fusion reactions of Ni-64 with Sm-147, Sm-150, and Sm-152 targets.
