Non-adiabatic corrections to elastic scattering of halo nuclei in a special model

We describe a special model for which scattering solutions of the few-body Schrodinger equation, including projectile excitation and break-up to all orders, can be expressed in simple terms. The model has been shown to provide useful insights into the elastic scattering of certain neutron halo nuclei. Here we present expressions for the leading corrections to the adiabatic approximation used in the model. We show that in the eikonal limit these corrections can be accounted for by modifying one of the two-body interactions.
