摘要
The chemical and isotopic analysis of fluids produced by the well of Los Azufres, Michoacan, were studied in order to define the state of water-rock interaction in this field's reservoir According to their chemical composition it was found that the waters produced by the wells have a chloride sodium geochemical character; typical of a geothermal brine. This brine is completely in equilibrium with the rock which stores A at temperatures that fluctuate between 280 and 340 degreesC. Considering excess steam data, the mixed water type wells are producing from a liquid dominant rone. The isotopic compositions of the wells present a shift of 0-18 (typical of fluids of geothermal origin which have equilibrated with rocks at high temperatures). The springs found within the field present a geothermal characteristic of acid sulphate. This means that the waters are of meteoric origin heated with geothermal steam.
