摘要
Emotions are very important in life, and the ability to express our own emotions and recognize emotions in other people is fundamental in human interaction. The popularity of the concept of emotional intelligence is testament to the primacy of emotions in life. However, emotion can sometimes be taken for granted. This study examines the role of emotions within leadership decision-making under conditions of varying degrees of complexity. Leadership has been examined in terms of the different requirements for leaders under different conditions of complexity. The role of emotion within leadership decision-making has also been examined. The role of emotion in the context of decision-making under varying degrees of complexity has been examined less comprehensively. This paper expands existing literature on leadership decision-making under varying degrees of complexity through the addition of a third variable; that of the leader's emotional state, and presents a model.
