摘要
The 2km long Western Harbour Crossing (WHC) comprises 1.36km long immersed tube tunnel and 0.64km long cut-and-cover approach tunnels. The WHC adopts a hybrid tunnel ventilation system, including a semi-transverse system for the immersed tube tunnel with local exhaust underneath each of the two ventilation buildings. A fully transverse system is implemented for the cut-and-cover approach tunnels with overhead supply and exhaust air ducts. Subway Environment Simulation (SES) computer program has been applied to verify the design of the tunnel ventilation system. The tunnel ventilation system is capable of handling uni-directional and bi-directional traffic flow for both normal and fire emergency operations.
