摘要：

The reaction of 2,3,4-tri-O-acetyl-beta-8-D-xylopyranosyl isothiocyanate (1) and 2-amino4-atylthiazoles (2) gave xylosylthioureas 3. These thiourea derivatives reacted with alkyl/aryl amine in the presence of HgCl, to give a new series of N-alkvl/aryl-N"-(4-arylthiazol-2-yl)-N"-xylosyl guanidines 4. Some of the synthesized guanidines were screened for their biological activity. (c) 2007 Wile), Periodicals, Inc.
