摘要
Analysis is carried out to estimate creep response of a rotating Al-SiCp disc with exponential SiCp gradient. The results estimated for exponential FGM disc are compared with hyperbolic FGM and non-FGM discs, having the same amount of reinforcement. The imposition of reinforcement gradient increases the radial stress throughout and tangential stress near the inside radius and but decreases the tangential stress towards the outside radius, with maximum variation observed for exponential FGM disc. By imposing reinforcement gradient, the creep rates in the disc are observed to reduce largely, with minimum and more uniform distribution noticed for exponential gradient. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd.
