Best practice in managing change for concurrent engineering

摘要
Many companies have improved their product development performance significantly. A number of these companies have been studied and common factors were sought. These factors were identified by the companies as key to the improvements they had achieved; the factors are primarily human and organisational in nature. The factors are presented in the form of a best practice chronology. A method for increasing the likelihood that the factors are robustly and competently dealt with is also presented. The method is described as being suitable for most manufacturing companies seeking to make significant improvements to their product development process through multi-disciplinary teamworking.
