ATTITUDES TOWARDS COMPUTERIZED ASSESSMENT IN OMAN: IS IT AFFECTED BY COMPUTER EXPERIENCE AND COMPUTER SELF -EFFICACY?

摘要
This study examined the effects of computer experience and computer self-efficacy on attitude toward computerized assessment. The sample of this study consists of 95 males and 101 females from the Colleges of Applied Science, Sultanate of Oman. The Attitude towards Computerized Assessment Scale (ATCAS), computer experience Scale and computer self-efficacy were used for data collection, while factor analysis using a principal component, multi factor analysis and correlation techniques were used for statistical analysis. The results of the analysis showed that -in general -positive attitudes towards computerized assessment with no effect of computer experience and computer self-efficacy on the ATCAS. Furthermore, this study showed no correlation between computer experience and computer self-efficacy((r=0.10, p=0.15).
