The chiral-like spin-glass mechanism in high-Tc cuprates

It is proposed that the massless gauge field A(mu)(3) and the spin-disordered hedgehog-like solitons, which are derived from the model based on the gauge-invariant effective Lagrangian at small doping might introduce the quasi-two-dimensional chiral spin-glass behavior. We have discussed the effect of instanton-like fluctuations on the spin-glass behavior. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
