摘要
In the last decade, many techniques and tools for available bandwidth estimation have been developed. However, their accuracy still remains a challenge [24]. Many works have used filter techniques for improving the estimation results, such as Exponential Weight Moving Average Filter (EWMA) [13], Vertical Horizontal Filter (VHF) [18], and Kalman Filter [15]. These filters were applied for tools using Probe Gap Model. We, in this work, introduce two filter techniques: the Fuzzy filter and the Probor filter, both of which are applied to the Probe Rate Model. Analysis and experiments show that our proposed techniques improve the accuracy of tools using the Probe Rate Model, while keeping the important trends of the traffic.
