Lesions of Multiple Myeloma Adjacent to the Skull Are Better Visualized on F-18 Fluoroethyldimethyl-2-Hydroxyethylammonium (FECH) PET Images Than on F-18 FDG PET Images

摘要
Multiple myeloma in the regions adjacent to the skull is very rare. We present here the F-18 fluoroethyldimethyl-2-hydroxyethylammonium (FECH) and FDG PET/CT findings in a 64-year-old male patient who had multiple myeloma not only in the axial and appendicular skeletons but also in the maxillary/frontal sinuses and in the sella turcica as well. FECH PET/CT clearly demonstrated all lesions, whereas the findings on FDG PET/CT were less impressive.
