Outage Probability and Throughput Analysis of SWIPT System with Two-Way Relay over Log-normal Fading Channels

摘要
In a simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) system, two source nodes send information to each other via an energy constrained relay node. The whole transmission process is divided into three time slots. In the first two time slots, two source nodes alternately transmit the information signals to relay node respectively. The relay node splits the received signal power into two portions used for energy harvesting (EH) and decoding information, respectively. In the third time slot, the relay node transmits the encoded signal to the source nodes using all harvested energy. We drive analytical expressions of the end-to-end outage probability and throughput of the system over the log-normal fading channels. Numerical results validate our analysis and investigate the effects of several parameters on the performance. Simulation results also demonstrate the proposed scheme has better performance than the benchmark scheme with a multiplicative relay node in most cases.
