NMR study of two-dimensional itinerant magnets PtCoO2 and PdCoO2 with a triangular lattice

摘要
We have performed Pt-195 and Co-59 NMR measurements to study microscopic magnetic properties of two-dimensional itinerant magnets PtCoO2 and PdCoO2 with the delafossite-type structure. Pt-195 and 59Co Knight shifts are almost independent of temperature and the Pt-195 nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T-195(1) obeys the relation ((T1T)-T-195)(-1) = 3.84 +/- 0.16 K-1 s(-1). These facts show that PtCoO2 and PdCoO2 are Pauli paramagnets described by the Fermi-liquid picture without the strong electron-electron interaction. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
