摘要
The word "big data" is heating rapidly, and has gradually become a popular vocabulary in the IT field. It has received more and more attention, and its influence is even more than that of the cloud computing and the networking, etc. Some industry experts predict that the era of the big data is coming soon. So, what on earth is the big data? What influence will it bring to the industry of the mapping geographic information? How should the mapping geographic information deal with it? The author will carry out the humble expression about some superficial views. The rapid development of the modem society and economy has increased the demands for all kinds of the innovative technologies, among which the water conservancy, oil, transportation and marine and other industries proposed higher requirements on the spatial information processing, and the traditional geographic information system has been difficult to meet the requirements of the development of the industry. Therefore, the geographic information system with the integration of the big data has become an inevitable trend. At present, the geographic information system is a core issue in the geographic information industry and the field of the science and technology in our country. Considering that the big data has become the inevitable trend in the development of the modem information technology, due to many advantages in the specific application of the big data, the acceleration of the integration of the big data in the geographic information system has become an inevitable trend, which has important practical significance to the promotion of the sustainable development of China's geographic information industry.
