Determination of Maximum Influence Zones in the Aperture Amplitude-phase Distribution on Radiation Pattern in the Far-field Radiation

摘要
A method is proposed for determining maximum influence zones of amplitude-phase distribution in planar phased antenna arrays or aperture antennas in their far-field. The method relies on the decomposition of fields into orthogonal components in antenna aperture and can be used in various areas of antenna technology: compensation for the distortion of amplitude-phased distribution due to the presence of faulty elements, the formation of radiation pattern nulls in the direction of interference, in the directions of the side lobes, and so on.
