摘要:
This study aims to develop a quality evaluation system of improved grounds by measuring the geometry of the soil-cement columns with elastic waves. A new device based on the theory of seismic reflection was developed and the following experiments were executed to assure the detection accuracy. 1. Model study with simulated soil-cement columns. 2. In-situ experiments with a soil-cement column made by the mechanical mixing method. 3. Estimation of the geometry of model columns with different shapes. Principles and the results of these experiments are reported in this paper. Evaluation of results by experts is necessary at the present stage of the development thereby an objective method should be settled in the future.
