摘要
The article analyzes the influence of the election results to the European Parliament 2019 on the formation of the key EU institutions: the European Commission, the European Parliament etc. as well as the transformation of the party-political landscape of the European Union. This includes changes in the balance between Pro-European and Eurosceptic forces and its impact on the future of the EU itself Based on the results of the elections and the results of the appointment of the new European Commission leadership (the European Parliament and the European Council), the author concludes that, although at the moment the Pro-European forces retain their dominant position in the leading political institutions of the EU, the dissatisfaction of a large part of citizens in the EU member States with the undemocratic and non-transparent formation and operation of the EU institutions persists, and even grows in a number of leading countries (Germany, Italy, France, etc.), this in the future may threaten the stability and efficiency of the EU functioning.
