Polarization Plateaus and Hysteresis Behaviors of a Stanene-like Nanostructure: Monte Carlo Simulations

摘要
The dielectric properties and the hysteresis electric cycles of a monolayer stanene-like nanostructure are studied using Monte Carlo simulations. The considered system consists of mixed spins S= +/- 1 and sigma= +/- 7/2 with an ferrielectric intermediate exchange coupling. We start by analyzing the ground state phase diagrams for (T = 0). In this case, only 18 configurations are stable among 8 x 3 = 24 possible ones. Besides, for T > 0, we investigate the behavior of the blocking temperature for different electric parameters. We discuss the polarization plateaus of the hysteresis electric cycles of this nanostructure by exploring the critical (E-C), the coercive (E-Coer), and the saturation (E-S) electric fields.
