摘要
We have presented the spin-dependent density of states and magnetic Compton profiles of CrS and CrSe using spin polarized relativistic Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker method. The origin of magnetism in these chalcogenides is discussed in terms of relative-shifting of Cr 3d states in majority and minority spins. The spin polarization degree of the density of states is also calculated for these compounds. It is seen that the CrSe has high spin polarization degree and magnetic moment in comparison to CrS.
