The Soviet system of insurance in conditions of the Great Patriotic War

The work prepared on the basis of the analysis of papers from the Central Russian archives, as well as little-known published.documents, which are mostly circular and instructional letters of the Soviet financial organs. Their position formed the basis of the organization of insurance system of Soviet citizens during the Great Patriotic war. This publication traces the dynamics of the activities of the authorities and Executive bodies on implementation of the insurance tasks of the population in accordance with the situation in the territory of the Soviet Union in 1941-1945. According to the author, the insurance of citizens of the Soviet Union was carried out not in the interests of the inhabitants of the Soviet state but to increase state budget revenues.
