Electrodeposition of PbO2 and Co-doped PbO2 on stainless steel support and its electrochemical characterization in acidic media

摘要
The electrodeposition of Co-doped PbO2 (on stainless steel as support was investigated with the aim of producing electrodes with improved catalytic activity. The electrodeposition conditions (current densities, hydrodynamic conditions, time, bath composition) influenced the deposit of Co-doped PbO)(2) (electrode. The surface analysis data obtained by SEM, EDX and XRD showed differences in the physicochemical properties of Co-doped PbO)(2) (in comparison with undoped PbO)(. Voltammetric data recorded by CV provided information regarding the electrochemical behaviour including the electrode stability and catalytic activity for anodic oxygen evolution reaction in acidic medium (0.1 M H)(SO)(2)(2)(4)).
