摘要
In this work we have developed a novel pulse reactor technique to study the methane oxidation activity of La0.75Sr0.25Cr0.5Mn0.4X0.1O3-delta (X=Co, Fe, Ni, V, Mn), and the double-perovskite Sr2MgMoO3-delta (SMMO) as a function of lattice oxygen stoichiometry under SOFC anode conditions. The oxidation activity and selectivity towards total oxidation products both decrease with decreasing oxygen stoichiometry for all of the materials tested. The difference in activity between materials is related to the catalytic activity of the B-site cations and the availability of oxygen for reaction (i.e. the reducibility of the underlying bulk lattice). These findings are used to interpret the non-linear electrochemical response of an La0.75Sr0.25Cr0.5Mn0.5O3-delta based SOFC anode upon increasing cell current density.
