摘要
The development of Internet technologies allows us to obtain any information on topics of interest. Modern search engines Yandex.ru and Google.com provide a selection of almost unlimited number of information resources for any requests of their users. But these engines also process the query itself. As the result, the researcher has a unique database. An important place in this search for information is played by queries indicating a certain interest in the Other. We try to understand who he is and what differs him from us. On the basis of this, the preferences of users of national Internet networks were identified, which made it possible to build certain models characterizing the images of otherness of different ethnic groups. A considerable number of similar inquiries allowed authors to speak about the dominating images existing in consciousness of the modern person, concerning the Other. The "sexuality" was chosen as the marker of otherness in this study. Researchers have chosen the peoples of East and South-East Asia as the object of such queries: the Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, Thais, Vietnamese, etc. The analysis of the obtained data allowed us to speak about the significance of sexual markers in the images of otherness of the peoples of the region. To the greatest degree, this characterizes the otherness of the Japanese image. The researchers also point out the increased interest in the sexuality of Koreans, which is connected with the growing popularity of k-pop in the world.
