摘要
We present a new reformulation scheme for parameter estimation of hybrid systems. A key step in this method is the introduction of a continuous switching variable which approximates the strict complementarity condition by means of a smoothened step function (SSF). The reformulation is implemented using discretization with collocation on finite elements, and the resulting optimization problem is solved by a NLP solver. The effectiveness of the proposed reformulation scheme is demonstrated for the parameter estimation of a three-tank model by comparison with the results of a penalization approach and a heuristic particle swarm optimization.
