摘要
This paper considers the development of a monitoring tool based on citizen science, smart-phones and web applications, which allows the community to share information about geolocated wildlife sightings. The data is managed in a web platform, so that various sectors of the community can access, visualize, share and benefit of the generated information. Wildlife sighting data can be used for promoting tourism, identifying effects of productive activity in the life of surrounding animals, supporting wildlife conservation agencies and scientific studies, among other possible applications. Field tests provided good results in both georeferencing accuracy and quality of generated information.
