摘要
Natural elements include any design element that has a basis in nature and should be designed incorporated into the habits in such a way as to encourage social engagement and interactions with others. Natural elements should be varied. Opportunities for passive viewing and active viewing are likely to be important and may indeed provide differential benefits. Again, while it may be unacceptable to incorporate live plant life in work spaces, greenhouse space and other areas for growing plants can be incorporated into living and recreation spaces. Given the varieties of potential benefits to viewing and/or interacting with nature, it is preferable to incorporate natural elements wherever humans spend time. Clearly, utilitarian necessities of the space will dictate some aspects of these designs decisions. However, using wall space for natural images is an easy way to subtly incorporate nature in the most work-oriented spaces. Furthermore, computer desktops and screen savers can be modified to include a variety of ever-changing nature scenery.
