摘要
At present time, there is a lot of pressure on the organizations dealing in software development from the customers to give attention on dependability factor during the design and development of software. The attributes of dependability perform a vital role to design dependable software. To improve the software dependability at design phase, this study evaluates weightage of dependability factors and sub-factors (attributes). The establishment of relationship between dependability factors and sub-factors and their priorities is the main aim of this work. Here the analytical hierarchal process is used by the authors to calculate the weightage and identification of the priorities of dependability factors and sub-factors. The results can be helpful for developers and can guide them for the development of a dependable software system. The priorities based on weights of dependability attributes, generated by this process may be used to find out the most important software dependability attributes.
