Single heavy lepton production in hadron-hadron collisions

We investigate the possibility of producing new heavy leptons as suggested by some grand unified theories and superstring-inspired models. For these models the production of a single heavy lepton is shown to be more relevant than pair production. We present a study of cross sections and distributions that could, in principle, differentiate models for new leptons at Fermilab Tevatron and CERN LHC energies.
