摘要
The objective of this paper is to develop a linguistic model to explore an optimal path for sending messages across a web-link network. The time taken for the message to be sent and the acknowledgement received is considered as the decisive factor. This factor is unpredictable in real time situations because of the dynamically changing intermediate server capabilities, congestion in the network and network bandwidth etc., and hence is represented linguistically, The expected message-transmission rate xi (t) is extremely high and is also expressed as a fuzzy set. Users' opinion about the various links with regard to transmission speed at every node Is collected and the fuzzy opinion matrix is formulated. Fuzzy hamming distance [1] is estimated by comparing the overall opinion with the expected message-transmission rate. The fuzzy hamming distance is used as the weight over every link and hence the fuzzy priority algorithm has been derived to explore optimal path.
